seeing stars!

this month (which admittedly, i'm a bit behind on... sigh...) in the Traveling Quilts bee, i got to work on Amber's quilt top and can i just say... holy poop this one is gorgeous!!!    I just lOVED Elizabeth's Ruler addition to it last month and thought i'd add in a pop of color to the other side of it...  here's to hoping Amber digs it!!  :P

then, since Jen asked for stars too this month in my other quilt bee... i made some Melody Miller ones for her too!!  so... yep!  i'm definitely seeing stars and loving them!!  i really need a star quilt, pronto!!  :D

and speaking of stars... my amazing son, Reed, graduated eight grade this month!!  i'm just too proud of him... he was on the honor role for all 3 years and received a 4.00 GPA for 2 1/2 of them!!  He wants to be a doctor (i love that he already knows that at such a young age!!) and i have a huge feeling that medical school is coming his way!!  i can't wait to see all the amazing gifts he's going to bring to our world!!

X, Heather

  1. What fun Heather! Your stars shine. And so does your son!
I'm going to have to join a traveling bee - it looks like a blast.

  2. Your addition to the quilt looks great and what a proud day for you, mom! Congrats to your son!

  3. I have been following your traveling bee and I love all the quilts that are being created! Such a fun idea!

  4. Great makes Heather! You must be so proud of your boy :)

  5. Congrats! I had a 8th grade graduate as well, and I cannot believe they will be off to high school this fall. So grown up and so not grown up all at the same time. Good luck on his medical pursuit. It's a long haul, but if it's his passion then go for it (I'm speaking from experience).

  6. Congratulations, you have a very bright boy there! Hope his dream will come true, the world needs more gifted doctors! Your quilts are (as always) very inspiring!!
