there are definitely weeks where i can NOT seem to get to my sewing machine. for whatever reasons
(ahhmm.... construction on new sewing studio!),
but i'll be damned if that doesn't mean i can't make some head way towards gorging myself on staples! it would be wrong to turn my back on my hobby completely... so, i had to make a concession of sorts and just stock up through this non-productive time! (wink,wink)
but i'll be damned if that doesn't mean i can't make some head way towards gorging myself on staples! it would be wrong to turn my back on my hobby completely... so, i had to make a concession of sorts and just stock up through this non-productive time! (wink,wink)
Lu Summer's helped me with this unnatural dilemma of mine, by sending me a little Summersville
( soon to be released by Moda! ) this past week! and it really is... AMAZING!
then FabricWorm made it impossible not to buy more Melody Miller's Typewriters, Echino & some other fabulous staples!!
and then to top it all off, Aurifil sent me a goody package and the squealing commenced!
---> L I S T E N <---
Aurifil is the shit! period. i would never go back to another thread again ( okay... that might be a steep statement, but you get my dedications to this product! ) it lasts, forEVER and creates the best looking stitches my Janome 6600 has ever seen! TRY IT!
OOOhhh... piss, just leave a comment here and i'll send you a pack if i chose you on Friday! YOU'll really get it then!! THAT'll teach ya!!
LOL

You can definitely never have too much fabric! I've never had the opportunity to try Aurifil and lately I've been dying to. Since no one around here sells their thread a thread card would definitely come in handy for online shopping! If it wasn't for the internet my fabric hoard would never be bursting out of my walk-in closet so hooray for great blogs like yours and great internet shops and thread companies that provide the great giveaways that we're all drooling to win. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI spent the weekend building a shopping cart of beautiful fabric and then my practical self told my sewing self to use what I have first. I should have hit the "purchase" button before it was too late. Note to self- must be more spontaneous! Aurifil has peaked my interest. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to try it soon. ;)

ReplyDeleteI too like this thread. I have been buying some colors in multiples of 3 or 4 and using it on my serger. Had been searching for a long time for all cotton thread that was nice and fine to use for serging. Hated making something out of cotton only to iron it and have my hot iron melt the serged threads. Very scratchy and uncomfortable to wear. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHope to not be a total loser who has never sewn with Aurifil for much longer! If you want me to be like one of the 'cool kids' feel free to send the thread my way, heehee! Have a great night!
