  1. Florida doesn't have seasons, so no color change here!

I do love that quilt, though! What neutral is that? Quilter's Linen?

  5. I'm not organised enough to change my colours seasonally. I just managed to get curtains at all the windows this week (I've lived here over 2 years!).

  6. re crocheting: just before a HUGE road trip I bought a kids (for ages 7 and up!!) crochet kit. It was the best move ever. I had tried learning from books in the library to no avail, but kids instructions made it very easy. Then popped over to http://meetmeatmikes.com/ to learn how to make the granny blanket. Easy peasy :)

  7. Turkey is still in what would be the hottest part of the summer in the PNW. I'm working on tea towels to use as sweat mops for my workouts.

  9. I just bought crochet hooks and I WILL learn the stupid craft if it kills me! I have had 1/2 a dozen lovely ladies try and teach me, with a major fail around each corner. BUT, now my Pinterest is filled with more crochet project then quilt, so I must learn! You can to....if you want.

  10. Such pretty stuff. Love the zig-zag quilt! Crochet is not as hard as it looks, it's pretty simple once you learn the basics. My mom taught me (but she's a lefty and I'm a righty, so she had to try and teach me backwards, not literally backwards..you get it) so I turned to books, there are so many good one's out there, otherwise I'm sure a yarn shop lady/guy could teach you. I think all the name brand yarn companies have how to's on their sites. It's easier than knitting!
