when it's summer, i'm barely around! with my boys being home, family get-a-ways, lazy reading days, and crazy tedious quilt projects... i can only shamelessly admit, blogging is the last thing on my mind. ;P
my only real goal is to visit all the blogs left on my comments in the other post and start a new blog roll... other than that, this is it kids! hahaha... random, silly, pop in's! don't worry though, i'll certainly post after i get my new tattoo on next Monday ( i know you were super worried!! ) Especially since it's based off one of my favorite fabric designers ( wink, wink )!
and ps... this quilt is taking for-freaking-EVER! LOL
X, Heather
I think everything takes twice as long in the summer. The quilt top looks like it will be worth it though. I love the block and color combos.
ReplyDeleteIt might be taking forever - but that's surely OK in summer? You must be pleased with the effect so far though? The effect of the light and dark shades in the fabrics you've chosen is awesome! It makes me want to have a go myself!
ReplyDeleteoooh, I really love those quilt blocks! I think I need to make a design wall somewhere in my house like yours. Looks like it's so helpful to see what you're working with!
ReplyDeleteAww, I've missed your posts, but I'm glad to know I'm in good company. I haven't blogged in a couple weeks, and I have to admit, I have very little guilt about it! Enjoy your summer!
ReplyDeleteNow I am curious as to what your tattoo will look like :)
ReplyDeletetaking forever or not it is beautiful
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those boys!! I have 3 and they grew up WWAAAYYY too fast. Although, I do have misty memories, way, way in the back of my mind, of days when I wished they were grown and gone! hehehe But, that goes with raising boys! It is a blast when they are grown, too!!!
ReplyDeleteI love what you have so far! Summer is great for all the distractions :).
ReplyDeleteIt may be taking forever but it sure is cool looking!
ReplyDeleteIf you want to get more done just move here to Texas where it's so hot all you want to do is stay inside where the air conditioning is....hahaha.
Your blocks are looking great! Enjoy your summer, sounds like you're having fun!
ReplyDeleteSounds like just the way summer should be :-) Your quilt top is lovely
ReplyDeleteAwesome choice of fabrics. I love that the patern doesn't "fade away". Can you tell me what the name of the pattern is and maybe where I can get it?
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing that pattern all over! I love it! I am thinking of making that one for my son. I too am working on a quilt project that is taking FORRRRR-EEEEVVVV-EEERRRR!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to blog!
Wowza Heather That is Awesome. Is it for the boy toy? Great colors very masculin
ReplyDeleteIt may take forever but it's looking fab!
ReplyDeleteIt is impressive. I cant decide if I'm committed enough to try it!
ReplyDeleteIt'll be so worth it, though. Sometimes those forever projects get so much more wrapped up in them while life happens during your sewing-it-together time.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your tattoo!!!
Loving the quilt! Colors are great!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking fantastic. I am seriously jealous of your design wall too. I need to do something like that but I am just not sure where to put it!
ReplyDeleteLove the top! I have one as well that is taking a long time I should post a photo soon. You'll have to tell me who your going to for your tattoo can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteMight be slow, but it's awfully pretty!
ReplyDeleteWOW...Heather, I love the soon-to-be quilt (or not so soon if you want to take your time)! :-) That's what summers are for, right?! Enjoy your time with the kids and can't wait to see the tattoo!

ReplyDeleteWOW - LOVE the colours and pattern on this gorgeous quilt to bee :o)
ReplyDeleteIt may take forever, but I love that quilt. Someday it will be finished!
ReplyDeleteNow you understand why I was trying to get my quilt out of Bee Traditional. I realized quickly that it wasn't hard, but the quilt pattern would need a lot of blocks. I haven't made progress on mine.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy every moment of summer with your boys! It'll just fly by....
ReplyDeletesummer time is always a gr8 time to ignore the computer!
ReplyDeletequilt progress looks awesome.

ReplyDeleteLove the colors you are using for the quilt. I think that once summer hits, relaxing and enjoying family usually takes front row to everything else. :)

ReplyDeleteThe quilt blocks are beautiful! Love all the blues. Glad to see a post from you. ;o)
ReplyDeleteThat quilt is freakin awesome!!! It will get done. Enjoy the summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing one of these quilts too but I went totally scrappy with no color scheme - yours is looking so much prettier than mine ever will. I may try it again someday and narrow my color choices. Have a great summer!
