holiday homes

okay... i'm feeling pretty good! i finished my main swap item for the { SavVy } Seasons - a modern swap and even though... i would lOVE to keep it... i'll be shipping it off! ;) this is my first table runner and i do hope my partner loves my little wonky, urban homes to brighten their holidays!!

i've had this cute Heather Bailey pattern for a while ( picked up my BFF'S ) and i'm thinking that maybe using the scraps of Heather Ross' Munki Munki fabrics to make a few little ornaments would be darling to match the table runner??... i hope, i hope! ;) we will see... i've yet to try this pattern so, i hope i don't mangle the fruit!! haha...

i also got in some yummy in the tummy "Innocent Crush" this week from one of my newest sponsors!!! i'm very excited about this shop! they sell their goodies in FAT QUARTERS! now i think we all know that is a rarity ;) Wondrous Woven Fabrics even ships all their pattens for free... i mean come on! they had me at FQ's, but now... i'm just a groupie!! LOL

and because i need another project like i need a hole in my head... i started Ashley's lattice quilt design with a honeybun of Neptune! i figure if i sew about 17 hours a day... i should be able to complete all my "wants" in about two years!... good grief! LOL

Tell me i'm not the only one with a big o'le massive huney do list! xo, Heather

  1. Are you kidding my, I think I have the longest list! But isn't it fun!

Your runner is fabulous, you have one lucky swap partner. My first attempt at houses were a challenge but I think I might have to play around with them some more. Did you applique your "doors" or are the pieced?

  6. The pears are easy... just take your time and pay attention to seam allowance. :) They're a bit bulky at the tip and the bottom but you'll handle it like a pro. :) Cute table runner! :)

  7. Every time I accomplish something and cross it off of my to do list, I had two or three more things! Like you, if I sewed 17 hours a day for two years, I might finish the current list, but then what about all the new stuff we add? The sewing community is so incredibly inspiring, I am always seeing something else I'd love to do (like your great table runner!).

I have a Neptune honey bun, a layer cake and a couple charm packs; I think I want to do the confetti cake pattern Jen did for the giveaway quilt, then maybe something else with the charms. Ah, decisions! And finding the time. At least it's great eye candy while it waits.

  8. Super cute table runner! I think matching ornaments would be darling, but can you squeeze them in? 17 hours a day to quilt is not very much ;)

I know what you mean about the 'to do' list -mine is huge! I get panick attacks looking at what I've set myself up for in the handmade Christmas stakes!!!!! Good luck with your list!

  15. I hear ya sista! My to do list is just kind of gross right now. Add in my knitting projects and it's downright disgusting. Oh, and what about the holiday items I want to make for our house? Maybe for next year! That table runner is so freakin cute! I wish I would've joined that swap too, but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to finish before New Years!

  24. The houses are too cute. I've got a stack of MM Christmas prints that I've been sort of hemming and hawing over what to do with...mayhaps I shall have to imitate this cuteness.

Also, I'm completely jealous over the Innocent Crush prints. I've been longing for them for weeks now! :)
