taking short cuts... equals... bad idea!

okay, so hear's a little tid bit for ya! taking short cuts... equals... bad idea! and let me tell ya why! it all started when i was invited to do a few upcoming projects for 2011 and in addition to the art, i would also need to send in a head shot! well... of course being a stupid girl, i thought... i'd better loose a quick ten-skie, so my face won't look so fat??? makes sense right, no one wants a double chin printed from here to Australia! so... i decided to do one of these diets that would shed weight super fast! i mean, let's keep it real... i didn't want to have to exercise and eat healthy for two months... i just wanted to pull this band aid off and be done with it! well... it worked! i lost around 13 lbs in about a month... and everything was working out in my mischievous little plan... until my gallbladder decided to spank me! apparently it didn't think i was very clever at all and the only way to communicate its displeasure is by a lot of pain. lovely, yes??!! i have now been in bed for 3 days and am incredibly late in facilitating my obligations and thank you's i owe my peeps! do those sexy knee-high boot fit and look fabulous, sure... but i am... still considering this a failure of epic proportion, as i can only wear them in my bed... needless to say... i'm feeling a tad bit better today and hopefully will have some eye candy up for you soon... ;) xo, Heather

  2. Oh goodness! Gallbladder issues are NEVER any fun. I had a baby and mine decided that was the time it didn't want to do it's job anymore... Not great timing either! I didn't even have sexy boots! :o( I hope you are feeling much better soon and can kick that galbladder back where it counts! Happy stitching!

  4. Oh my poor friend! that is awful, well except for the part that you lost 13lbs. I sometimes think, if I could only catch the stomach flu, this weight would be off in no time, but I never catch it, I have an iron clad stomach!! So I completely understand why you would want it to happen fast, but unfortunately for all of us that LOVE food, only exercise and eating heathy works in the long wrong. i just keep telling myself....food is not love!! I hope you kiddos are taking good care of you and get better soon!!

  19. Oh Heather, poor gal! If it makes you feel any better, I would have totally done that same diet right there with ya. This mama don't do exercise and healthy food! So sorry that your gallbladder didn't agree with it. 27. can I just thank you for being honest? We're all tempted by those stupid things and you never hear anything but "way too good to be true" things about them. They sure seem super tempting at times. Well I hope you feel much better soon, and it may sound harsh but I hope you learned your lesson. I don't mean it in a harsh way at all, I just don't want you to get hurt by those things. Sending lots of good vibes your way.

  30. I totally feel your pain! Literally - I had to get mine out two years ago - does. not. feel. good! Stay away from as much fat as you can (and no eggs - thats what did it to me in the end!)and you should be able to keep your gb AND stay skinny:) Pain is a good motivator as my hubby used to say. At times I still wish I had my gb just for that! Makes you eat foods with real low fat so easier to stay 'kinny! But not a whole lot of fun:( Get better soon!!!

  40. ohhhh, I do hope you can avoid surgery! I had it about 7 years ago and wish now that I had cleaned up my act in time to avoid it all. I do remember the pain though and so I know what you might be going through. :(

  41. I feel your pain! During my one and only pregnancy I had hyperemesis gravidam and lost 35lbs alarmingly quickly - my gallbladder tossed its toys out of the cot in protest, but unfortunately my gallbladder disease was misdiagnosed as indigestion (ha!) and it wasn't finally diagnosed correctly (thank you Google!!!) and removed til my son was 4 months old - crawling around on the floor for 10 hours at a time unable to care for your child because of 'indigestion' was no picnic! Hope yours is all sorted soon! And you look beautiful in every photo I've seen of you!
