farmer's market

i'm off to the farmer's market!
i have always loved strolling thought the booths at the local farmer's markets looking for fabulous handmade goodies to bring home and now i'll get my chance to fill one of those up!! so, my plan... is i'll be spending the next few weeks making some limited edition items for my booth ;) i'm hoping to infuse my urban style with some of the more traditional local colors of summer... this market quilt reminds me of a big o'le bowl of yummy local ripe raspberries... sometimes life isn't any tastier then in the pacific northwest!

{ love the look... you can grab it up at Hawthorne Threads! } hope ya all had a fab weekend!! XO, Heather

  4. Heather, that is a gorgeous quilt! I have Meadowsweet 2 on the way--can't wait. Henna Garden is one of my all-time favorite fabrics!

Which farmer's market? Saturday Market? THAT would be cool! I have also been to the one in Beaverton and really like it as well.

Uh, Marionberries are my all-time favorite muffin at SB in Hillsboro. Of course we can't get them there. But we DO have loads of fresh fruit and veggies grown locally so we are pretty lucky.

  16. Can I ask you a question please (in regards to selling your quilts)....how to you price it to sell? This is the thing, my husband freaks out when I make something crafty as a gift. If he thinks it's really good his response it, "You should sell that c**p" which in his language is, "Darn that's really nice"....now I'm in the process of making four quilts for gifts and he's having a fit. I've looked at Etsy and may post a couple quilts on there to gauge a reation...Just wanted to get some thoughts on how you would price them....One person had a real nice quilt but had it priced at $325!!! This one person had a wooden embroidery hoop, grey linen aida fabric with a monogramed letter and is trying to sell it for $50!! Now that, in my opinion is way too out of here!
