fantastic, fantastic, fantastic summer ideas for my family!!! you all have really given me lots of wonderful ideas that are sooo gonna save my bacon when i hear, " Mom... i am soooo bored.... there's nothing to do " ;) i am giddy with anticipation now, knowing i have an arsenal of projects in my back pocket! LOL i'm pretty sure a few others will be having very clever summer projects as well with these prises!!     Emily Giffin's "Something Borrowed" and followed with "Something Blue." Absolutely great books. I just got her newest one "Matters of the Heart," but I haven't read it yet, so I can't report. You HAVE to read the first two if you haven't already.

  80. Thank you for this terrific contest!! My favorite summer read is "Summer of Night" by Dan Simmons. It's about a group of neighborhood boys in the midwest of the U.S. who patrol the streets for fun on their bikes and uncover a very unsavorly town secret. It's set in the 1960s, when I was a child too, so the Ked's sneakers and putting playing cards in your bike spokes to make noise brings back some great memories for me.
