My kiddos love getting crafty. Michaels has tons of cheap kid crafts that are sure to keep them busy! I also gave my older daughter free run of the felt supplies, so she's had some fun cutting & sewing with felt. And we always love going to the park!

Summer is a wonderful time to teach your children to sew....try pj pants or a simple gathered skirt. Even a 4 year old can learn to sew buttons on a piece of fabric for a fun pillow top!

ReplyDeleteI'm new at this and find all this blogging so fun and inspiring, and the giveaways...wonderful. For some light fun reading I turn to Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. Just finished "To The Nines". Lots of laughs.
ReplyDeleteLove your music too...
ReplyDeleteI follow Sew Fantastic too. ;-)
ReplyDeleteEvery summer I anticipate the release of the new Stephanie Plum novel from Janet Evanovich. I love the laugh out loud antics of Lula and Grandma Mazur. Winter is for lush and lyrical prose. Summer is for non-gun-toting bounty hunters with wacky sidekicks and meltingly sexy suiters. Long live Stephanie Plum!
ReplyDeleteBeing a grad student, there's hardly a moment when I'm not reading, but I love summer because I can finally read something that's not assigned, but also not total fluff. I just finished The Elegance of the Hedgehog, which was just delicious.
ReplyDeleteand I also follow your blog!
ReplyDeleteThese prizes are the best!! All so wonderful! I'm currently reading "eat, pray, love". Very cute so far.
ReplyDeleteMy fav summer read is "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society". Don't let the wacky name throw you off. It is the sweetest, loveliest post-war romance written in the form of correspondence with laughs, tears and enlightening WWII history of this Channel Island. Perfect for hammock reading.
