Hexie Rainbow

well here it is in all it's glory... the front of my Pillow Talk { Swap } cushion!! i've thought long and hard about how to surround these cutie bugs... and i think i'm going to use a kona cotton... so when i attach the back to the front, i don't have to cut into any of the prints!! :) Now... to pick that color??? thoughts???

and yes... i have definitely been on a hexie kick lately... but once you start them... you'll know why! that and my wonderful, loving, caring friends make me goodies to enable my habit!!! Just look at what was brought to my house yesterday...

she even put three little hexies on the front for me... the most perfect hexie summer bag ever created!!! Thanks Terri... you really are sew - fantastic!!! :) xo, Heather

  10. So jealous! Love it. I'd probably go with a teal or something a shade lighter than cerise. Ooh, but a tangerine color would be so fun! How will you choose?!

  14. Your hexies look amazing! How about just using a grey?

  15. They look soooo good! The grey of your cutting mat looks good with them, so perhaps a grey? Or linen? I'm sure whatever you choose will be perfect.

  21. Love these hexies! I think light blue or yellow might make cool backgrounds, making the hexies pop. Cool bag - how fun.

  22. Cute bag!

I'd lve to see your hexies on a similar grey to the cutting mat they're on in the picture, I think that would look modern and really let the fabrics shine.

  23. Well, I'm in the minority, but I suggest a punchy color as the sashing, like a darker pink or turquoise. But, hey, I have a thing for color.

I don't own any heather ross novelties, but I may have to someday. I love how they look as hexes!!!!

  24. I agree with some of the others - your cutting mat grey looks really good with them - in fact at first glance I thought you had already put your hexies out on the fabric you were going to use!

  25. Oh, you have a lucky, lucky partner. I think there are a lot of Kona colors that would look fab with these cuties. I think I would have to audition several and then decide. It's always interesting how different colors can change the whole look/feel of a project.
