Pillow Talk Swap - ROUND 3 starting!

Yay!! another round of the Pillow Talk { swap } is now starting!!! I always look forward to this swap... some of the past creations have been more than inspiring and to look at each rounds talent grow into such an amazing group of talented crafters... it's well...simply unreal!! if you haven't seen the eye candy... pop over and check it out!! i dare ya!!

This round really couldn't have come at a better time for me!! my land is an absolute mess!! I have an extreme issue with "playing" with my fabrics and putting together "maybe" coordination's while i don't feel well... and this week... i have seriously had the funky funk ( given to me by my generous husband )... thus a lot of messies... aaak!

at least i got some new yummies to play with this past week!! and i'm in love with my new Orla Kiely fabrics... and i even slipped those into a clear bag ( they got the royal treatment )!! haha

i did get a lot more reading time in though... which you all know is my second favorite past time!! ;) soooo.... i got to finish up ( hush, hush & fallen )... they were pretty darn good... i think i like angel books???... but i also think i need a little more sucking face time! LOL hopefully their sequels will be a bit more juicier!! and since Amber had referred me to them... i sent her a little thank you package last week! if your interested in a ( thank you package from me) for referring a good book and/ or book series ( i have to read them though )... just leave me a comment! :) These are my newest additions to my library!! and i can't wait to start reading them... i have a feeling my sewing time may be being cut back a little! haha xo, Heather

  3. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is awesome! I was so antisocial while reading it because I just wanted to keep reading! Just don't let the first hundred or so pages turn you off (I thought it started a bit slow just because there was a lot to introduce). I just started The Girl Who Played With Fire.

  4. Love the pillow inspiration!

I read Shiver in January and loved it! I saw that the sequel, Linger, is coming out July 20.Thank goodness there is a sequel to that story! My SIL loved the Larsson books too. So you have some great stories to get into!

  7. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was a great read, I need to get the Girl who Played with Fire but I need to make sure I have a block of time set aside for it first! Have you read the Samaria series by Sharon Shinn? It's along the lines of Hush, Hush and very very good.

  8. I loved Girl with the Dragon Tattoo! I read it last year, but my book club had it for this month's book (our meeting was today) and everyone loved it (which usually doesn't happen).

I picked up The Girl who Played with Fire a week ago, and haven't had a chance to start it. Looking forward to it, and the third one that comes out next month.

  9. I have The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo sitting on my bedstand waiting for me to read it! I'm excited to pick it up. I was disappointed with Shiver, but still enjoyed it.

I would definitely recommend checking out Graceling, by Kristin Cashore and it's companion novel, Fire. SO GOOD! :D

Love the fabrics! It makes me want to go start a new quilt!

  13. I love getting new ideas for books!! I have finished the steig larson trilogy ... LOVED THEM ALL. I am such a geek for reading, that I ordered the final book in the series from the UK. It still hasn't come out in Canada!! Anyway - I digress. I will totally be on the lookout for shiver, and maybe join in on the pillow swap?? How do we go about getting involved anyway?

  14. If you want some serious face sucking time, I highly suggest the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.
Jaimie and Claire are just sooooooo awesome to read about. You honestly get lost in the books! They are a time commitment though. There are 6 or is it 7 books now in the series and they are all over 1,000 pages. I really think you'll love them.

  15. I love your piles of fabric. I do that too, and then have to reorganize everything. That is okay though, I love my fabric! I am going to have to look into those books, they look interesting. I hope you are feeling better :(

  17. I just finished The Girl Who Played with Fire and I liked it a lot. Waiting for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo from my library to become available now.

Have you ever read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon? It's been my favourite series in the past 4 years (yes, I took my time reading through all 7 books from the series), if you haven't read them, you definitely should!!

  18. Well I have to second Lyn's suggestion on the Outlander series, I'm on the third book and not getting a lot of sleep! Be prepared for a time and brain commitment, she goes into lots of details.
Have you read the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning? I'm waiting for the fifth and final book in this series, but I have to admit to some serious blushing while reading parts of these. Lastly, how about the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J. R. Ward?
Okay, now to bring this back to P.G. where did you find the new Orla Keily fabric, very cool.
