f l o w e r s...

another flower for my { grandmother's flower garden quilt }... i'm hoping my urban look will translate through this classic design!
the best part of a new house is when the unknown garden comes alive... Portland is known as the City of Roses and i'm pretty sure.... many more will be blooming in my yard!
a new little friend visits me everyday out my sewing window.... so i thought he needed an A La Mode home ;)
have a wonderful Wednesday!!
xo, Heather

  7. I love those hexagons. I'm nuts about hexagons and am planning to buy some fabric to take away with my in the summer for our family summer holiday and am thinking hexagons but am struggling to work out what to do with them to avoid ending up with something too old-fashioned so I am watching your progress with interest - I love hexagons in the black. I am thinking it will be all about the choice of fabric and colours and I like your mix of prints and solids.

  8. Such a pretty yard! I loved discovering the garden when this house was new to us. Trouble is I needed the old owner to come back and take care of it. ;-)

  17. I love rediscovering the things planted in our garden each spring. Sometimes I forget what I plants, so it's a fun treasure hunt. Your grandmother's garden flower block looks stunning too!

  18. Wow! Your garden is gorgeous! You are way ahead of me. The hostas are always last to come up in the spring and they haven't even peeked up yet. I've got lots of daffodils, hyacinths and some of the tulips are starting to open. I love spring gardens. Thanks for sharing yours!
