I LOVE my family!!! My bestie Sissy-in-Law, Carrie!!
I have 3 tattoo's and ones on my toe.
I also hold a real estate license and a CPR certificate... which means I can save your life after you have a stroke from sticker shock on a home.
This is my hobby not my job.
Take me or leave me… I will always keep it real with all my friends and I hope my sharing shows you a little more about me! How about you....
Have a great Tuesday!!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the post! It is fun to catch a glimpse into who you are. Me likey. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou don't look old enough to have kids that big - love seeing a bit more about you!!
ReplyDeleteLove this post Heather! I'm almost kinda shocked by how much we have in common! You're making me want to start a blog! I hear ya on the cougars too;)
ReplyDeleteLoved this post...keep it up...it's nice to connect on a more personal level. I may take a leaf out of your (virtual) book.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely to learn more about you, and don't tell anyone, but we're real, too! I don't know who you thought you would scare off. Looking forward to meet you at Fabric Depot/Don Pedro's. And now I can recognize you!
ReplyDeletegreat post Heather! I like the keeping it real and fun to learn a bit about you. Hum, a chihuahua? Just kidding :) -that's coming from a Labrador lover.
ReplyDeleteI don't often comment, but I really like reading blogs that not only showcase amazing things people have done, but - yeah - that I make an emotional connection to as well. You and I have a lot in common, not the least of which is children with autism. My oldest daughter is 6 and has just been downgraded (upgraded? It's a double edged sword) to Asperger's. And I always mean to tell you - I love your glasses.
ReplyDeleteAnd now see? I'll be watching your blog even more carefully now. I bet you have a thing for Airstreams, too.
thannks for the insight into your life :) My oldest son too has autism! My hat goes off to you, it's hard work finding time to craft in between therapies :)
ReplyDeleteUUUuummm... yeah Cricket... bullets ROCK!!! LOL.. So glad to meet another who loves someone with autism ;) His innocence has taught me more about the world then the 22 years before him!
ReplyDeleteHey Heather, great post. I've been thinking about blogs recently too and a change of direction. I think it's nice to share a bit more of life than just tales from the sewing room :)

Hi Heather :)))
ReplyDeleteI loved to know you a little better:)))
and hope to be among your virtual friends, because we are a little too far, so we can´t be friends present, in person :))
about your "hobby" as you already know ... I'm your fan
a huge kiss from Portugal
Isabel
oh, hello! What a sweet post!(I think I may have to try a post about me, too) We actually have quite a few things in common, too. :) Jessica
ReplyDeleteReally a great post Heather! I'm just like you, I like to connect with people via my blog while still showing my crafty projects. I really loved this post, and it was so nice to learn more about you!
ReplyDeleteLoved your post Heather. I totally agree with your point about some of the best blogs are the ones you have an emotional connection with. That's why I enjoy reading yours so much. You're not afraid to put yourself out there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for telling us a little more about yourself and your family. I feel so inspired! And I see Kerri was too!
Oh, I love it! Great post!
ReplyDeleteThis was a great post. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAlright, you've inspired me. I just posted my own "Keeping it Real."
ReplyDeleteThat was great, thanks for sharing....and by the way, generation X rules!!! as does VW's and pearl jam!!!
ReplyDeleteAwfully nice to 'meet' you!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll take ya!!! I stopped by after reading Ryans post and decided I had to read what inspired him. I'm all about real....and blogging gives me an outlet for "me" without having to answer to anyone but me!! The connections blogging has given to me has kept me feeling more alive than before I blogged.
ReplyDeleteIt was a pleasure reading about you!!
Smiles,
Kelly

Man you all are cracking me up with your personal stories... best blog reading I've done in quite awhile... keep them coming!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteyay! I've learned so much and loved your post! Keep it real, girl! xo
ReplyDeleteGreat post Heather - thanks for laying it all out there.
ReplyDeleteHeather, that was a great post! Do you watch Anderson Cooper, hehe, he's always saying "We're keeping it real". You are the greatest and brave! Sometimes I'm afraid nobody will like the real me. :)
ReplyDeletethanks for opening up... i get what your saying about blogging... so far mine has been much more about quilting & less of my personal life... but who knows where it'll go over time!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great post- You're on the other side of the world to me but we have alot in common (except for cougar threats!).
ReplyDeleteit's good to be real...thanks for sharing. it's not easy to put yourself out there sometimes. i always knew we were simpatico...especially since you suffer from that sarcasm disease too.
ReplyDeleteHeather, I appreciate what you said here.
ReplyDeleteSO often I felt like I shouldn't share personal stories and that perhaps I should try to hide a bit more of who I am. Thank you for reminding me to keep it real.
Life has handed me so many lemons lately that I have made everything from lemonade to lemon squares and everything lemon in between.
I've avoided all of my favorite blogs and my flickr friends.
Well here I am and I've missed you all so much.
Life is life and we are who we are. Thanks for the kick in the rear.
It's nice to "meet" you.
BTW...I have had an irrational cougar fear for about ten years.
A few days ago our neighbor caught one eating his chickens.
I run to my car and I run to the mailbox.....but we know cougars like it when you run. LOL.
Wow, I needed that! Hard day for my son (who has autism) and I needed to feel surrounded somehow to ease the day away. You did it, thanks from Georgia! Your blog is a great escape and connection all at once.
